Retreat Manager + Yoga Teacher

Manager Position Overview + Competencies:

  • 2-3+ years of experience

  • Yoga Teacher Certification

  • Fluent in English (preferably fluent in Spanish as well, or open to learning Spanish on the property)

Manager Responsibilities:

Onsite Gatekeeper

  • Maintaining loving, clear, powerful boundaries and acting as a buffer between the world and our founder, Lauren.

  • Facilitating communication between retreat hosts and our founder*, as necessary.*

  • Triage communication in various modes (e.g., email, in-person, WhatsApp, etc.)

  • Managing relationships with outside vendors

Co-Develop the Retreat Operations SOP with Founder

  • SOPS to be created: Front desk tasks, check-in/check-out for retreats, daily staff meetings, booking excursions and spa treatments, settling guests’ outstanding balances before departure, retreat liaison (pretty much getting everything up and running, figuring out a timeline together for this)

  • On weeks where Lauren is not available (these will be decided in advance) step in as the retreat coordinator and ensure the property and staff are supported, organized and prepared for the retreat.

Client Service Manager

  • Work with onsite team to deliver a successful retreat and customer experience

  • Working with our team members to provide amazing client service

  • Supporting the retreat hosts arrivals, retreat experience, and departures

  • Primary point of contact for retreats participants and hotel stays via WhatsApp

Operations including:

  • Non-retreat visitor excursions, Spanish lessons, massages, and transportation

  • Keeping the calendar and integrated technology up to date with reminders set

Basic Systems Support

  • Client support systems, such as CloudBeds and What’s app

  • Communication systems, such as Notion and Slack

  • Administrative systems, such as Google Drive

  • Manage digital filing system and SOPs


Yoga Teacher

  • Have a 200 HR YTT

  • Teach 3-5 classes a week.


Benefits + Compensation

  1. This is a full-time role, 4-5 days. These times may shift depending on if a retreat is staying on the property. (set times in calendar for whole staff to have off)

  2. This job will begin September 16th with the opportunity to move in September 14th.

  3. 1 Month trial period.

  4. Benefits include private room with a shared bath, all meals provided.

  5. Compensation: First 3 months: $400 + $100 increase every 3 months up to one year.

Kitchen Manager + Front Desk

Key Responsibilities:

 Kitchen Operations:

   - Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals.

   - Ensure all kitchen activities comply with health and safety regulations.

   - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and all food storage areas.

   - Plan and update menus based on seasonal availability and guest preferences.

   - Order food and kitchen supplies, managing inventory to minimize waste.

   - Inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy.

   - Track inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure proper stock.

Staff Management:

   - Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.

   - Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests.

   - Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and training.

   - Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.

Communication and Coordination:

   - Communicate guest requests and special needs to the appropriate staff.

   - Meet with the front desk and retreat manager to ensure special dietary needs and preferences of guests are met.

   - Ensure timely and efficient meal service for all guests.

   - Address guest feedback related to food quality and service, implementing improvements as necessary.

Financial Management:

   - Monitor kitchen expenses and manage the kitchen budget.

   - Control food costs through efficient purchasing and waste management.

   - Maintain financial records related to kitchen operations and report to the retreat manager.

Front Desk Operations

  • Work with onsite team to deliver a successful retreat and customer experience

**Qualifications:**

   Education in culinary arts preferred.

   - Previous experience in customer service, front desk, and kitchen management roles.

   - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

   - Proficiency in basic computer applications and reservation systems.

   - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

   - Excellent leadership and multitasking abilities.

   - Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
